The problem, at that time, was the low-resolution screens and crappy moniters gave you the digital equivalent of a dirty hangover when you finished the starefest. Now, thanks to high-def screens, and hlf-decent graphics cards, we can finally experience these optical illusions without needing a post-stare-brain-scan.
