Apparantly the complaints all came in in the period of an hour (alarm bells, amirite?) and only two of complainer's left their names, one was a 'Mark Bunker' the other was the name of my Mother!!!! From Enturbulation: I brought a sign to the May 10th protest that said: "Scientology is not a religion, it is a dangerous cult". Within 5 minutes of arriving at QVS, I was told by a member of the police that I was not allowed to use 'that word', and that the final decision would be made by the Inspector.  At around 11:15, while on the high ground of QVS, I was approached by these happy fellows(:40)   I was read the Section 5 Public Order Act of 1986, and was told I was strongly advised to remove the sign. You can see my response in the video, as I read out Justice Latey's statement about the Cult of Scientology. I was given until 11:30 to remove the sign. At around 12:05 the police caught up with me, I was given a Court Summons and my details were taken down. Videos will surface. My sign was removed:    Since when was it illegal to say something is a 'Cult'? I think this is ridiculous on the part of the London City Police. This stinks of Scientology interference, shame on them!

BoingBoing has reported a new twist in the fight against Internet music piracy: I was just alerted that the House of Reps has passed HR 4279, with the lovely name, PRO-IP (Prioritizing Resources and Organization for Intellectual Property Act of 2008). Like the doublespeak PATRIOT Act and Peacekeeper missiles, PRO-IP puts local law enforcement in a position to demand the forfeiture in criminal proceedings of stuff used to violate copyright. Which means that instead of the RIAA simply trying to collect fines, they can also incite local authorities to collect all the computers and related gear that was used to pirate. This sounds, to me at least, like yet another example of governments failing to properly address the issue of music piracy, and instead of helping to find a happy medium between the end users (listeners of music) and producers (record companies), inflict horrible new Orwelian laws which, in my experience (see Anonymous) will only provoke downloaders, hackers and pirates further. This Saturday the Internet based 'activist group' Anonymous, of whom I wrote about recently, are taking to the streets once again to protest the Church of Scientology. This, the 4th International protest, is entitled Battletoad Earth: Operation Fair Game Stop, a cunning play on the L. Ron Hubbard authored movie Battlefield Earth, and the alleged 'Fair Game' policy adopted by the COS to attack its detractors: "ENEMY — SP Order. Fair game. May be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed." - L. Ron Hubbard Sinister words indeed, but what puzzles me is the churches lack of retaliation. One would think that if your church was being protested by thousands of masked protestors, you would make a big deal of it? Anyway, the protest is set to begin worldwide at 11am and, in London, will take place initially at the Queen Victoria Street Scientology Centre and the later at the Tottenham Court Road property. Hey, so I just interviewed the Rev. Ivan Stang of the Church of the Subgenius and even though 'the conspiracy' tried its best to stop us (by interfering with our connection at key moments), the interview went really well! SO! as mentioned in episode 3, the next show WILL be an interview with Rev. Stang and will be available on wednesday via the site, iTunes and all good podcatchers. We have secured an interview with the amazing Douglas Rushkoff, but we are holding that one back until August for various reasons, the main one being a new book that we'll hopefully get to discuss with him.  Now some of you have emailed us demanding some Aleister Crowley/occult-centric episodes, and don't worry we are listening! We are readying our experts and episode 5 should be riddled with hidden history and Crowleyanity, so keep listening!  Anyway, thanks for all your emails and offers of help, we'll be rolling out the new Myspace profile which is being put together by our "agent in the field" Paul 'StuntCock', noise-master and social networking insurgent. Paul will also hopefully be providing us with some of the coolest new crazy noise bands in his own segment in the show. 

Orlando, Florida appears to be a hot-bed of bizzare happenings at the moment. Recently the appearance of a Turin-Shroud-esque jesus face on a hospital window caused mass hysteria:     As if this wasn't enough, a local man has been accused of 'wizardry'! Substitute Teacher Jim Piculas performed a 30 second magic trick to his class in which he appears to make a toothpick vanish. The next thing he knew he was called into the schools office to be accused of wizardry. In an interview with Local6.com Piculas stated his worry that he may not be able to obtain further work as a teacher. Huh, to think the only odd thing thats happened in the UK recently seems to be a Red Ken getting replaced by a man named Boris.  

A few days ago this site was looking pretty shoddy, nothing seemed to work properly and i was starting to think that maybe this was a bad idea. The site was originally installed by Install4free, because frankly I have no idea how to get MySql databases up and running and am generally an HTML dunce. I asked those guys for help and they pointed me to James Burton and his Erratic Souls blog. James within minutes responded to my call for help and after some moments of saintly patience (from him), the site was up and looking great! James knows Wordpress (the blogging platform that we use on our site) back-to-front, and understood immediately what I was after and sorted us out super-professionally.  James works on a donation-based payment scheme for his services and only expects what you can afford, which in our case was hardly a kings ransom. So, to try and 'top-up' our payment, I decided to advertise him in the form of a blog post, not much I know...but something.  I also recently discovered that James and his partner received some tragic news, and everyone at RWYASN sends them their best wishes and thoughts in, what must be, this very troubling time.
