This weeks guest, Nick Pope, used to run the British Government's UFO project at the Ministry of Defence. Initially sceptical, his research and investigation into the UFO phenomenon and access to formerly classified government files on the subject soon convinced him that the phenomenon raised important defence and national security issues, especially when the witnesses were military pilots or where UFOs were tracked on radar. Nick also looked into other mysteries such as alien abductions, crop circles and ghosts. He now continues his research in a private capacity and is recognised as a leading authority on UFOs and the unexplained. He does extensive media work, lectures all around the world and has acted as consultant on numerous television documentaries. Background music this week comes in the shape of Four Tet. This weeks guest, R U Sirius, is a cyber-culture icon and former editor of the amazing Mondo 2000 magazine. He's has written regular columns for Wired Magazine and the San Francisco Examiner. Sirius is also a fellow podcaster, with his semi-regular shows 'The R U Sirius Show' and 'The Neo Files'. He has contributed to the public discourse of emerging cyber-cultures extensively as well as authoring several books on topics like Counterculture and Revolution. In this weeks episode we go deep into the roots of the Western Esoteric Tradition with our returning guest Raymond Wiley. Raymond is the former host of the amazing Out There Radio, and has recently graduated University with a BA in History where he specialised in the scholarly study of the Western Occultism.
