If like me you are pretty much fully converted to getting all of your audio-visual needs online, you may have come across the excellent ‘Film Riot‘ on the Revision3 network. Every week host Ryan Connolly (Triune Films) gives potential, and up-coming film makers superb hints and tips for making professional – and sometimes D.I.Y. – looking content. What makes the show so engaging, is the humour, and effort that they put into each episode. They make me laugh, and they make everything they do look very polished.

Since the show began back in 2009, Connolly has been promising viewers his first ‘proper’ short film called ‘Tell’ would be released, and in recent months, he’s even taken us behind the scenes, and shown us some of the production, and post-production processes he’s been using. Well, finally, he’s released the teaser trailer:

Gripped by the fear of possible repercussions and tortured by the guilt of his violent actions, Taylor seeks to hide his sins in hopes that they will go unnoticed and become no more than a dirty little secret… However, his plan quickly falls apart when he begins to see menacing visions and the line between reality and paranoia becomes blurred…Is it all in his head or can the dead truly take revenge?

Tell looks like it will be a homage to the excellent Edgar Allen Poe short ‘The Tell-Tale Heart’ – hence the title ‘Tell’ I guess – and it will be released some time in March. I, personally, cannot wait.

To get a feel for Connolly’s film stylings, check out this test short ‘Losses’, put out a few months ago. The Film Riot crew were leant a Red Epic for a couple of weeks, and made a pretty cool run and gun action film:
